We welcomed back Jensen into year 5 after his successful kidney transplant. We are over the moon that after such a long time on the waiting list and two last minute cancellations, he was finally given a new kidney. Whilst he still has to be careful, it means he can do so many things he was unable to whilst waiting. As a school community, we are enormously grateful to the donor family, occasions like this make us all reflect on how difficult these decisions must be for a family, but how important and rewarding it can be to know that from one devastating loss, another child can be given such a precious gift.
